Canadian Politician, Advocate. She was born one of two children as Danielle Lynn Adams in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She moved to Thompson, Manitoba, Canada, with her mother and brother at the age of eleven. She worked at a McDonalds Fast Food Restaurant and at the Burntwood Hotel, in Thompson, Manitoba, Canada, before turning to a career in politics. She first worked in politics as a constituency assistant to federal New Democratic Party Member of Parliament Niki Ashton who represented the federal electoral district of Churchill—Keewatinook Aski in Manitoba, Canada, before running for her own seat in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Manitoba. A Member of the New Democratic Party of the Province of Manitoba (or NDP), she was elected to a seat in the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Manitoba in the Manitoba General Election to represent the electoral district of Thompson, Manitoba, Canada, in 2019, making history as the first female Member of the Legislative Assembly (or MLA), in that particular region. While in office, she was a strong advocate for improving Early Learning and Childcare, Housing, Disability, and Poverty Matters, and for giving families the support they deserved. She was also passionate about the First Nations, Inuit peoples, Metis peoples, new Canadians, and the LGBTQ2S community. She also served on many Boards of Directors, and Committees, and was a strong supporter of many charities and organizations. She had served in office as a Member of the Legislative of the Province of Manitoba from September 10, 2019, until her death on December 9, 2021. She was tragically killed in a car accident on December 9, 2021, while driving south to Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Manitoba Highway 6 after the SUV she was driving collided with a northbound semi-truck, 50 kilometres south of Ponton, Manitoba, Canada, near Thompson, Manitoba, Canada. She was survived by her partner and two children. A funeral was held at the Thompson Regional Community Centre in Thompson, Manitoba, Canada, and she was cremated and her ashes were given to her family with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.
