Sharyn Joyce Denney, age 76 of Paragould, the widow of Raymond Earl Denney, Jr., passed from this life Sunday, November 28, 2021, at her home. Born in St Louis, she was the daughter of the late John Rueben and Hartred Jewell Cox Jackson and was raised in Southeast Missouri. She later returned to the St. Louis area and was employed by Famous Barr which later became May Department Stores. She began her employment as a floor/ticket worker and continued to advance with the company before becoming a buyer in the bedding department. She retired in 2006, after 25 years of dedicated service. Sharyn returned to Paragould in 2008 where she became very active as a volunteer for the Mission Outreach in Paragould and area churches. In addition to her volunteering at the mission, Sharyn exhibited her compassionate and caring heart by "taking in" stray dogs and cats and making financial contributions to the Northeast Arkansas Food Bank in Jonesboro. A devoted Christian, Sharyn had attended both the Trinity Church and Calvary Full Gospel Church in Cardwell. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 1 grandson, Rueben Maxwell "Max" Denney-Gaddy and 1 brother, Phillip Jackson.

She also leaves 7 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson

A Memorial Service will be 4 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Ron Blankenship officiating. Family and friends will gather at the funeral home 30 minutes prior to the service. Online guest register at www.howardfuneralservice.com
