"LEO E. JOHNSON

WILSON - Funeral services were held at 3 p. m. today for Leo E. Johnson, 69, of Rome, Ga., who died Thursday.

Services were conducted at the chapel of Jennings Funeral Home, Rome, Ga., with the Rev. W. Russell Daniel, officiating. Burial was in Sunset Hills Memorial Garden.

Mr. Johnson had been a resident of Rome for the last four years, going there from Wilson where he had been director of utilities for the city from 1933 to 1956. He was past president of the Wilson Rotary Club, a member of the Elks Club and the Baptist Church. During World War I he served with the infantry with the rank of captain and for many years had been a member of the American Legion. He was a graduate of Oregon State College and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where he obtained his degree in engineering.

Surviving are his wife, the former Ruby John Harkins; one brother, Roy Johnson of Woodburn, Ore.; one sister, Mrs. Agnes Kearns of Portland, Ore."
