Homer Avon Adams, age 57, of Paragould passed from the cares of this life on November 20, 2021, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Homer was born on June 10, 1964, to Jack Earl Adams and Linda Lou (Story) Adams in Lepanto, Arkansas.
Homer was the co-owner of Adams Towing. He also worked as a truck driver and as a Federal Security Guard. He served in the Army/Army National Guard for several years.
Homer was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed attending services at Woods Chapel Church and New Life Fellowship Church. He enjoyed riding in the wind with the Brookland Knights Motorcycle Club. He loved Nascar, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandkids. Homer never met a stranger and loved to help others whenever he could. He was loved by so many.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Jimmy DeWane Adams.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of forty years, Danette Adams; son, Gregory Adams; daughter, Beth Adams (Justin Gulley); brothers, Bro. Bill (Melissa) Adams, and Roger (Carrie) Adams of Texas; grandchildren, Michael Lee Greenway, Jackson Adams, Adam "Tuffy" Greenway; uncle and aunt; Gene (Becky) Adams and Jan Adams of Kansas City, MO, and many other cousins, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. until service time at 12:00 P.M. at Mitchell Funeral Home in Paragould. Burial will immediately follow at Pine Log Cemetery, under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home, with Brother Danny Johnson and Brother Bill Adams officiating.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mitchell Adams, Dan Adams, Jeremy Adams, Michael Moreno, Nicholas Moreno, Cody Higgins, Jesse Higgins, Logan Anderson, Justin Gulley, and Hunter Cox. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Rusher, Tj Ballentine, and Nathanael Wagner.
