Charles A. Bednar Jr., 76, of Bethlehem Township, died January 3, 2007 in St. Lukes Hospital, Fountain Hill. He was the husband of Dolores B. (Laslo) Bednar. They were married 57 years in July. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Charles A. Sr. and Goldie (Mengis) Bednar. He served his country in the Naval Reserves. He was a controller for UGI for more than 40 years retiring in 1992. Survivors: Surviving with his wife, are sons, Charles A. Bednar III of Allentown and Mark D. Bednar and his wife, Amy, of Cleburne, Texas; sisters, Virginia Durfey and Peggy Durfey, both of Fountain Hill; seven grandchildren, Eric, Brooke, David, Laura, Sarah, Jace, and Spencer; great-grandchildren, Dylan and Jaxson. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Diane Marie, in 1992. Services: will be private. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory Inc., Hellertown, has been entrusted with arrangements.
