Dr. Mahaffey
earned his college degrees at Southern Illinois University, Carbondale; which was approximately an hour from his home in Eldorado, IL. He served in a dual role of School Principal and Sixth Grade Teacher at Jefferson Elementary School
full time, while raising three daughters with Norma Jean and studying/driving to Carbondale for years to fulfill the requirements of his degrees.
