Thomas Bales 67 passed away of Cancer on November 15th 2021, opening day of deer season which is ironic because he loved deer hunting. Opening day was always his favorite day of the year. Tom was born on April 8th 1954 to his parents Floyd and Laura Bales. Tom was a tough man but would always help anyone who needed it. If he called you his friend, he meant it. Tom worked for Chrysler for 32 yrs and was Union President for many years, he retired from Chrysler Proving Grounds in 2007. Tom loved to hunt and fish and spent lots of time Salmon fishing on his boat with his sons. He was a great father and loving papa who taught many great life lessons. Tom married his High School sweetheart Sherry which he has spent the last 51 years with. Tom and Sherry had 3 children the oldest being his daughter Bridget (Brandon Kunec) and 2 sons his namesake Thomas Bales II (Kimberly), and his youngest son and partner in crime Adam Bales (Amanda). Tom had 5 grandchildren Meghan (Nick Krest), Jordan Bales, Ethan Murray, Jake Bales and Wyatt Bales. He also had 2 bonus grandchildren Ivan and Dasha Kunec. Tom loved to talk and brag about his children and grandchildren. He had a love for cooking wonderful meals for his family. Tom had a passion for gardening and loved the outdoors. Tom had 3 siblings Dennis Bales (Gwen), Carole Smith and his younger sister Sharon Bell. He also had countless nieces and nephews that he loved. Tom was proceeded in death by his parents and older sister Carole. A celebration of his life is scheduled for the spring.
