UDELL MORRISON

Clarence Udell Morrison, 88, of Blossom passed away Thursday, Nov. 22, 2007, at his home surrounded by the family he loved so much.

Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled services for 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at Blossom Church of Christ with David Ballard and Evan Butler officiating. Burial follows in Knights of Honor Cemetery. The family receives friends from 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 12, 1919, to C.C. and Artie Coble Morrison. On Nov. 4, 1939, he married the love of his life, Eunice Aline Taylor. Together they built a home full of love and strong foundation in Jesus Christ. Soon came the birth of their first child, a daughter, Joyce, followed by two sons, Harold Wayne and Randy.

As much as he loved his own children, the love and joy he had for his seven grandchildren filled his heart to the brim. There was never a time he would turn one of his grandchildren down for a ride in the back of his truck to check cows or sit on his knee to "drive" his tractor.

He was known for the "Big Mac" striped overalls he wore every day — except Sunday when he would dress up for church. He was a faithful member of Blossom Church of Christ where he served as elder until the decline of his health. Every time the door was opened for worship, he was there singing hymns, praying and studying God's word. He loved his Lord Jesus Christ and this was apparent to all who knew him. The Morrison's home was always open to help others.

With all the love he had for his grandchildren, he was blessed even more with 10 great-grandchildren. He delighted in every visit, every hug and every kiss he received. His family was his life and what he lived for and in the end was the reason why he battled so hard to keep going. For those who knew him you might say it was because of his stubbornness.

He has joined one of his precious grandchildren who left this earth before him on Nov. 20, 2007, Abby Lyn Morrison. She was his special baby girl and was waiting for her granddaddy to join her so together they can watch over the family they both loved so much.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Eunice Morrison; three children, Joyce Frank and husband, Denis, of Blossom, Harold Wayne Morrison of Blossom and Randy Morrison and wife, Jackie, of Tyler; six grandchildren, Jeff and Paul Glen Morrison, Brian and Brent Frank and Alicia Frank Hutchins and Angie Morrison; 10 great-grandchildren, Lexi and Landry Morrison, Brooks and Fischer Morrison, Branigan Taylor, Tyler and Takota Frank, Jace and Halle Hutchins, Clayton Roliard and Benjamin Frank; and special family friends, Blake, Jodie, Jack, Sarah and Hannah Temple.

The family would like to thank all who expressed concerns and love over the past several weeks. Those who brought food, words of prayer and comfort during our time of need — words cannot express our gratitude.

A special thank you to the Premier Home Health Care nurses who administered to his needs and showed love, kindness and compassion to not only him but his family.

I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
