Mary E. Rzeszewski, 99, passed away on Friday, July 2, 2021 in her residence.

Mary was born on April 1, 1922 in South Bend to Joseph and Julia (Racz) Ross. On October 12, 1946 she married Thomas Rzeszewski. He died on March 30, 1979. Mary was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Andrea, 5 sisters Julia Caine, Velma Whitteberry, Helen Lundstrum, Rose Burnette, and Isabelle Giszewski and 7 brothers Joseph Ross, Alex Ross, Steve Ross, Ernie Ross, William Ross, John Ross and Frank Ross.

Surviving are a daughter Cynthia (Jay) Windbigler, a son Eric (June) Rzeszewski, 4 grandchildren Kristin, Emilia, Todd, and Katie and 7 great-grandchildren.

Mary worked for Bendix, was a member of Our Lady of Hungary Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, bowled on Tuesday nights at Chippewa, worked with REAL Services at Immanuel Methodist Church and was known as Grandma Mary because of all the neighborhood children who would swim in her pool.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Friday, July 9, 2021 in Our Lady of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may gather from 9:00am until services in the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Potawatomi Zoo. Zahoran Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
