She was born to Samuel and Alease Thomes Hargrove on January 23, 1932 in Tye River (Lynchburg) Virginia. Her family relocated to Princeton, New Jersey and she graduated from Princeton High School.
Frances was united in Holy Matrimony for 38 years to James E. Williams, a Korean War Veteran, and this union was blessed with two sons and a daughter.
A resident of Trenton-Ewing vicinity for 45 years, Frances worked hard to provide for her family. She was employed at Educational Testing Service for seven years and retired from the New Jersey State Department of Environmental Protection after many years of service. She loved people and never judged anyone, even if she felt they were wrong. She loved to travel and listen to Gospel music.
Predeceased by her husband, the late James E. Williams, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Hargrove and Alease Thomes and sister of the late Leo, Samuel and June Hargrove. Those who were privileged to bask in her infinite love are her two sons, Richard A. Williams and Paul A. Williams, both of Trenton, NJ; her daughter Michelle O. Williams of Ewing, NJ; two grandsons, Robert B. Mitchell II, and Bryon O. Mitchell, both of Ewing; two granddaughters, Kiara Williams and Kimora Williams, both of Trenton; one sister, Janet Hargrove of Trenton; her mother-in-law, Selina Williams Johnson and brother-in-law, Harold Williams, both of Fayetteville, NC. Frances also had close friends who were by her side, Patience Byrd and Vivian Mitchell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
