Roger Walter Betts was my Uncle, My Dad's older Brother. He was born in the American Swedish Hospital, In Illinois His nickname was "Buddy" He was in the Air Force.AIC, Korea. He was very kind and had a wonderful sense of humor. I cherish all the memories I have of him.
In a letter written in 1945 recommending him for the Boyscout reads: "To Whom it May Concern: I wish to recommend Roger Betts to his Scout Leader in the capacity of his friend, and neighbor, I found him to be very just, and kind in his work and play. His attitude at home always impressed me, especially in the kindness he showed for his parents, family and friends, Sincerely Mrs. Albert Logan"...I have my Uncles baby book which includes a lock of his blonde hair when he was only 5 1/2 months old.
