Donovan N. Huber, 82, of Aledo, Ill., formerly of Belleville, Ill., born Aug. 15, 1925, in Galva, Ill., died Thursday Dec. 6, 2007, at the Mercer County Hospital in Aledo, Ill.

Mr. Huber was a World War II U. S. Navy veteran. He was employed as a Geodesist for the Defense Mapping agency in St. Louis, Mo. He also taught Math and Science in Wethersfield, Ill., and Balboa, Panama. Donovan was a former member of the Cornerstone Christian Church in Shiloh, Ill. He taught Sunday school for many years and enjoyed fishing and bowling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie and Kathryn, nee Noyd, Huber; and a brother, Leslie Huber Jr.

Surviving are his wife, Frances, nee Hayes of Aledo, Ill., whom he married Aug. 14, 1949, in Keithsburg, Ill.; one brother, Russell (Kay) Huber of Princeton, Ill.; nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church in Aledo.

Visitation: Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m.Wednesday, Dec. Dec. 12, 2007, at Fippinger Funeral Home, Aledo, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007, at the funeral home.

Burial with military rites conducted by the Mercer County VFW Post 1571. in Peniel Cemetery, rural Joy, Ill.
