Douglas Abbott, 62, died on September 3, 2021, in Montague, TX at his residence. Douglas was born on Jan. 8, 1959 in Nocona, TX to James Harrold Abbott & Shirley Dean Dunn. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Montague, TX. Douglas worked in carpentry most of his life doing all sorts of jobs. He loved his family and helped them whenever he could. He is survived by his sisters, Deborrah Smith of Montague, TX, Vickie Johnson of Montague, TX, Patsy Marfew of Nocona, TX, Karla Lee of Nocona, TX and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 at 2 P.M. at Montague Cemetery, Montague, TX. Memorial donations to be made at a charity of choice.
