Mark F. Dorschner was born on November 20, 1947 to Raymond and Leona (Motl) Dorschner in Jackson, Minnesota. He attended and later was a 1965 Graduate of Jackson High School. On May 25, 1968 he was united in marriage to Karen Erickson in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. After their marriage they made their home in Trimont. Mark was employed at John Morrell Company in Estherville, Iowa for several years. He then was employed in computers at Modern Office Machines in Fairmont and then at Custom Computers in Sherburn. Most recently he was employed at IFS in Lake Crystal. Mark was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where he was an Elder, Sunday School Teacher, member of the MenÂ's Club and Dart Ball Team. He also served on the Trimont School Board and was a member of the Fox Lake Golf Club where he served as President. Mark greatly enjoyed fishing, golfing, softball, family and friends.
Mark passed away on Friday evening, November 30, 2007 at his home in Trimont, Minnesota at the age of sixty years from a year long courageous battle with cancer.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Dorschner of Trimont, Minnesota; son, Matt Dorschner and his wife, Shannon, of Moose Lake, Minnesota; daughter, Rachel Larson of St. Peter, Minnesota; two granddaughters, Alexandra and Arianna Dorschner; mother, Leona Dorschner of Trimont, Minnesota; two brothers, David Dorschner and his wife, Alice, of Montevideo, Minnesota and Dan Dorschner and his wife, Brenda, of St. James, Minnesota; sister, Mary Mead and her husband, Richard, of Mahtomedi, Minnesota; brothers and sisters-in-law, Richard Erickson and his wife, Elaine, of Milan, Minnesota, Donald Erickson of Tacoma, Washington, Gerald Erickson and his wife, Beverly, of Chisholm, Minnesota, Gloria Okrina and her husband, Don, of Menno, South Dakota, Carol Okrina and her husband, Marvin, of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Joyce Gregg and her husband, Ron, of Cottonwood, Minnesota, Eric Erickson and his wife, Diane, of Montrose, South Dakota, Ron Erickson and his wife, Mary, of Whitmore Lake, Michigan, David Erickson and his wife, Helen, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; many nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
