Cathy was born on August 25, 1964, to Larry and Louise Erickson Ek. She has 2 brothers and 3 sisters and grew up in the Salt Lake Valley area with her family; and, later, settled in Spanish Fork.
While attending Spanish Fork High School, she met the love of her life, Allen Hugh Moore, and got married. There was nothing comparable to the love Allen and Cathy had with each other. They each completed the other and were always hand in hand. Together they had a beautiful family with a daughter and two sons: Mandi, Michael, and Thomas. Family meant everything to Cathy and Allen, and together they enjoyed camping trips, boating on Lake Powell, and anything outdoors. There was nothing better in life than quality time spent together as a family.
Cathy spent many of her years working in insurance for State Farm, as well as owning and operating Artistic Floral in Spanish Fork. Her attention to detail and seeing beauty in everything around her was an amazing gift. She loved to create, whether it was a beautiful floral arrangement, homemade craft, or a safe place to have a conversation, she genuinely had the ability to brighten the lives of so many around her. Everyone was welcome and accepted into her heart and home. There truly was no one more loving or charitable than Cathy.
The brightest spot in Cathy's life was her grandchildren. She was blessed with 7 amazing and wonderful grandchildren, whom she spent all her spare time with. She loved doting on them and making them know how loved they were.
Cathy is survived by her forever husband, Allen; her children: Mandi, Michael, and Thomas. She is also survived by her mother, Louise; and six darling grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings: Deb, Christopher, Cheryl, Michael, and Elizabeth.
Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Larry Ek; grandparents, Glen and Beth Erickson; parents-in-law: Lola Mae Laycock, Hugh Moore; and granddaughter, Laena Moore.
