Lynden resident F. Nathan Barron, age 23, was taken to be with his Heavenly Father at St. Joseph Hospital on his birthday, Monday, Dec. 3, following a sudden brain hemorrhage. The son of James and Jacqueline (Atkinson) Barron, Jr., Nate was born in North Vancouver, British Columbia in 1984. In 1994 he moved with his family to Lynden and graduated from Lynden High School in 2002. Following high school he worked for his father at Barron Painting of Lynden. He married Tana Nieuwsma in Lynden on February 3, 2006 and for the past two years operated Barron-Thompson Painting. He attended Lynden Gospel Hall and enjoyed many hobbies and activities; including building and working with computers, Broadway Musicals, sports and going to Disneyland. He particularly enjoyed cooking and hiking with Tana in the Mt. Baker area. Nathan is survived by his wife Tana and their month old daughter Mina; parents Jim and Jackie Barron, Jr. of Mission, BC; father and mother-in-law Dan and Marlae Nieuwsma of Lynden; sister Kerri Barron of Lynden; grandparents Ruth Hamar and Jim Barron, Sr. of Mission, BC and numerous other relatives. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 11:00 a.m. in Faith Reformed Church, 7th & Liberty Sts. in Lynden with Rowan Jennings officiating. Private burial will precede in Monumenta Cemetery. Memorials in Nate's name may be made to the Nathan Barron Memorial Fund through any branch of the Whatcom Educational Credit Union.
