Walter "Loddy" Pawlack, 91, of Harmony Township, died Saturday, July 23, 2011, in Heritage Valley Health System, Sewickley.

Born August 6, 1919, in Ambridge, PA, a son of the late Peter H. Pawlack Sr. and Eva Schimonchak Pawlack, he was a retired mechanics supervisor for TWA Airlines and was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ambridge.
He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during World War II.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine N. Nadzak Pawlack, on May 4, 2002; a son, Terrence Pawlack, on October 31, 1985; three sisters, Mary (Frank) Bosanac, Olga (Steven) Alvania and Jennie (Charles) Plese; a brother-in-law, John Tyma, and a sister-in-law, Victoria Pawlack.

Surviving are two brothers, Paul Pawlack of Economy and Peter (Anita) Pawlack Jr. of Pinehurst, NC; a sister, Mabel Tyma of Economy, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME INC., 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, where a service will be offered Tuesday at 9:30 a.m., followed by a church service at 10 a.m. in SS. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church with Father Michael Polosky officiating.
Interment will follow in SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
A Parastas service will be held today at 2:15 p.m. in the funeral home.
Members of the Beaver County Special Unit will meet Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at the cemetery to provide full military honors.
