Dawn Renee Katzman was taken from us at the hands of another. Dawn was born in Catskill, N.Y., and lived in Piscataway, Hillsborough and Flemington before moving to Middlesex in 2002.

She graduated from Hillsborough High School, Class of 1981, where she was the first female to win the Architectural Drafting Award. Dawn worked for Royal Cabinet Company in Hillsborough for the past 15 years as a kitchen designer. She enjoyed watching football, especially the Chicago Bears; bowling in the Monday Night Mixed League in Manville; trips to Atlantic City and vacationing with her family in Virginia Beach.

Dawn was a loving and caring daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend.

Surviving are her children, Daniel Katzman Jr., Diana Renee Gilkeson and her husband, John; Lisa Ann Katzman and her significant other, Brad Badore; and Sandra Lynn and her husband, Jason Kubilus; her parents, Norman and Linda Steiner; her brother, Norman and his wife, Laura Steiner; her sister, Allison and her husband, Scott Costa; her grandchildren, Kayley Lynn Kubilus and Jonathan Donald Gilkeson (Dawn helped to deliver him); her paternal grandparents, Peter and Mary Steiner; her close friend, Dan; her aunt and godmother, Doris Savage; her nephews, Saul, Caleb, Levi, Seth, Noah and new baby Robert; her niece, Aislinn; and many caring aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
