Helen M. Kuc Bushko, was called home to be with her Lord on September 9, 2021. Her caregivers were her son, Walter and her daughter, Rose Ann. She lived at home until July, when she had heart failure. She was well cared for at McMurray Hills Manor, for the last two months.
She was born March 3, 1922 in Canonsburg, a daughter of John and Anna Lubecki Kuc.

Helen graduated from Cecil High School Class of 1940. She also graduated from machine shop in New Castle. She completed courses at a local business school. Helen worked at Flannery Bolt making shot gun barrels for World War II. She also worked at the Continental Can Co, DD Ranch and retired from Western Center in the dietary department.

Helen enjoyed reading her bible, gardening, cooking and spending time with family and friends. She was always helping someone and was an inspiration to all who knew her.

She was a member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Polish National Catholic Church where she was a member of the Society for the Adoration of the Most Blessed Sacrament; and the Polish National Union.
On October 26, 1947, she married Walter Bushko, who went to be with his Lord on March 6, 1978.

Surviving are one son, Walter J. Bushko of Canonsburg, and one daughter, Rose Ann Cwiklinski of Canonsburg, grandson, Thomas Rutan, granddaughter, Melissa Cwiklinski, two great grandsons, Ryan and Benjamin, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to he husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, John and Walter Kuc, Michael and Joseph Florek, two sisters, Mary Klinger and Blanche Kuc.

There will be no public visitation and services are private. Arrangements are entrusted to Sollon Funeral and Cremation Services, LTD, 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, Phillip L. Sollon, supervisor, 724-746-1000.

Interment will be in the Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorials be made to Gateway Hospice, 9380 McKnight Road Suite 201, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
