Louie E. Beadles

Funeral services for Louie E. Beadles, 81, of Sulphur Springs, were conducted Wednesday, Nov. 20.in Tapp Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Douglas L. Holt and the Rev. L E. Richardson officiating.

Burial was in Posey Cemetery with grandsons serving as pallbearers.

Mr. Beadles died at 12:45 p.m. Monday at Regency Terrace Nursing Center.

He was born Sept. 1, 1910, to Charlie Franklin and Ida Mae Patton Beadles. He married Dollie O. Robertson in 1928 in Hopkins County. She preceded him in death in 1979. He married Opal Burks in 1980 in Sulphur Springs. She survives.

Mr. Beadles was retired from E-Systems in 1972, where he had been an instrument mechanic for 21 years. He was a Baptist and had lived in Greenville prior to moving to Sulphur Springs.

Other survivors include two sons, Loyd Beadles and Gene Beadles, both of Sulphur Springs; two daughters, Geri Davis of Campbell and Marlene Malar of Garland; and two stepsons, T.H. Burks of Pickton and the Rev. Wylie Burks of Corpus Christi. Also surviving are three stepdaughters, Modene Sims, Vera Glossup and Sue Walker, all of Sulphur Springs; two sisters, Mary Miller and Annie Mae Cox, both of Sulphur Springs; 1O grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 15 stepgrandchildren; 30 step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Noble Beadles.
