Funeral services will be held at Liberty Baptist Church in the Brushy Mtn. Community. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Hendren was born in Wilkes County, December 2, 1922, to John Jones and Bertie Johnson Hendren. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Mr. Hendren is survived by his wife, Hazel Johnson Hendren of the home; three daughters, Shirley Walsh and her husband, Larry of Boomer, Barbara Jean Brown and her husband, Kenneth of Wilkesboro, Kathy Harris and her husband, Robert of Ferguson; five sons, Ernest (E. J.) Hendren and his wife, Marion of Wilkesboro, Larry Hendren and his wife, Linda of North Wilkesboro, Gary Hendren, Eddie Hendren and his wife, Sandra, Terry Hendren and his wife, Donna all of Moravian Falls; one sister, Honor Moore of Moravian Falls; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.
