Grandma Ferrell Celebrates 77th Birthday Nov. 4

On Sunday, Nov. 4, the friends and relatives of Mrs. Martha Ferrell gathered at her home and gave her a birthday dinner, Monday being her 77th birthday. Of all the good things to eat - they were there. Dinner was had on the grounds as Grandma's (?) house was too small to hold the people who had gathered. The dinner consisted of stew, fresh pork sausage, fried ham, chicken, sandwiches, fruit salad, salmon salad, potato salad, check and dressing, pies (?s) of all kinds, and the birthday cake was a big square cocoanut of (?k) and yellow with the words "Happy Birthday" in yellow letters across the top. The cake was baked by her granddaughter, Mrs. J.O. Ferrell of Emblem.

Those who enjoyed this happy occasion were Grandma Ferrell and granddaughter, Blanche Winstead, Mr. and Mrs. George Ferrell and children, Mitchell, Smith, Mack, Hazel, Cecil; Mr. and Mrs. Homer Ferrell and children, Sedell and Leroy; Mrs. and Mrs. J.O. Ferrell and children, Edna Lou and Betty Sue; Mr. and Mrs. Grady Ferrell and baby, Thomas Wayne; Mr. and Mrs. Freeman Parker and baby, James Oliver; Mr. and Mrs. Francis Lundy and son, Billy Earl; Mr. and Mrs. Dorsey Hammond, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Manis and children, Billy and Mary Sue; Dall Manis, Mrs. Ina Butler, Mrs. Lona Cox and son, William Francis; Mrs. Lizzie Storey and son Cecil Lee; Mrs. Ida Beadles and daughter, Bernice; Mrs. John Kyle of Canyon City, Colo.; Mrs. Parker and Miss Bessie Parker, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Beadles and daughter, Georgia Kate; Luther Foy, Robbie and Bobbie Burns -49.

Grandma received several nice presents. Every one left after supper, wishing Grandma many more happy birthdays and she thanked each and every one for what gave her.
