Mrs. L.P. Barnes

Eaton, Ohio - A well-known Eaton woman, Amelia Barnes, 89 231 East Somers St., died Monday morning at the Gov. Harris Homestead after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of the late L.P. Barnes, an Eaton funeral director who died in 1962. Mrs. Barnes was a member of the Eaton United Church of Christ and Iona Chapter No. 5, Order of Eastern Star.

Survivors include two sons, Walter M. Barnes and Robert W. Barnes, Eaton funeral directors; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Phares and Mrs. Florence Becker, both of Eaton, and Mrs. Grace Hogan, Martinez, California; a brother, Charles Miller, near New Philadelphia, Ohio; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services for Mrs. Barnes will be at 1:30 P.M. Thursday at the Barnes Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Sorrell officiating. Burial will be in Mound Hill Union Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M.
