Freeman Parker
Services for Freeman Parker, 78, of Sulphur Springs, are set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct .29 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Sampson officiating.
Burial will be in the Ridgeway Cemetery with Cedell Ferrell, Jerry Ferrell, Billy Lundy, Billy Wayne Parker, Odie Vaughn and Joe Parker serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Spencer Hinkle, Charlie Cantrell, Archie Glossup, J.R. Hinkle, Melvin Doss, Willis Stewert.
Visitation will be from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Mr. Parker died at 12:05 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital.
He was born Sept. 20, 1910 to George and Lou Herman Parker. He married Carrie Ferrell in 1933 in Commerce. She survives.
He was a retired farmer.
Other survivors include three sons, James Parker of Sulphur Springs, Bobby and Benny Parker both of Commerce; one brother Bill Parker of Sulphur Springs; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
