Dorothy B. Collier Eddins, 87, of Bronson, passed away Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at her home. She was born April 16, 1920 in Mooringsport, Louisiana to George Collier and Gladys Winn. She married LC Eddins on September 2, 1939. They had five children.

Dorothy was a hard worker and held several jobs in her lifetime. One was as a desk clerk at a motel and another was as a secretary for Justice of the Peace Liz Warr.

In addition to her relationship with Christ, the things she treasured most in life were her family, her friends and her flowers and plants.

Funeral services were held Friday, August 17, 2007 at Watson & Sons Chapel in Center with Bro. Royce Robb officiating. Interment followed at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Pallbearers were her grandsons.

She is survived by daughters, Dorothy Marie Whiteman of Bronson, Carolyn Faye Smith and husband Randall of Bronson, Nancy Drew of Pineland; son Bobby Eddins and wife Sandra of Center; 4 granddaughters, 10 grandsons; sisters-in-law: Buncy McDonald of the East Hamilton Community in Shelby County and Opal Hammock of Florida; 19 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George Augustus Collier and Gladys Mavor Winn Collier; her husband, LC Eddins; her son, Billy Ray Eddins; her brother, GA "Jake" Collier and sister, Nell Chance.
