Louise Elizabeth Britten was born November 1, 1917 from the union of the late Clarence and Louie Hepburn. She was born and raised in Philadelphia and attended the Philadelphia School System.

She met and married the late Charles Britten and worked as a seamstress at the Quartermasters until she could no longer work. She then opened up her home to watch children.

Louise was very active and out-going person. She loved to travel and be around her family and friends having fun.

She accepted the Lord at an early age was baptized at the Tasker Street Baptist Missionary Church where she remained until she moved to Trevose, Pennsylvania, where she was a dedicated and faithful member of the St. Matthew United Methodist Church for over twenty-seven years. She was very active in the Circle of Love Committee, the Pastor's Relations Organization, the United Methodist Women, the B.M.C.R. and other ministries.

She will be sadly missed by her children, Delores Duvall, Charlotte Britten and Gloria Byrd; her grandchildren, Robert Brown, Charles Britten, Gloria Britten, Xaviar Britten, Sharita Britten, sixteen great grandchildren; one cousin, William Lee; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
