Richard Glen Black, 72, passed away on April 17, 2019 at his home in Mount Pleasant. He was born on August 17, 1946 in Mount Pleasant to Perry Black and Florence Cliffie Hilton Black.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during Vietnam & he worked for 42 years at Dekoron in Mt. Pleasant.

Glen is survived by his wife, Wanda Campbell Black; daughter, Glenna Rachelle Black Guehlstorf & husband, Jim; daughter, Kara Black Disner & husband Ben; daughter, April Hart Nelson & husband, Adam; grandchildren, Zackery Flusche, Austin, Drake, and Lily Disner, Bradley, Brantley, and Eyston Nelson ; and brother, Ken Black.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Henry Black; his sister, Helen Ellis; and sister, Lillian Black.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. A funeral will be held on Friday, April 19, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home with burial to follow at Springhill Cemetery.U.S. Veteran
