Truxel Bryan, 77, well known Oil City cement contractor, died at his home, 410 Orange Street Saturday, at 5:25 p.m. after an illness of about six weeks.
Mr. Bryan was born in Altoona, Aug. 12, 1864, coming to Oil City in the early 1870's, and had resided here ever since. He was a life long member of the Methodist Church. Together with his wife, Mrs. Jennie Bryan, he celebrated his 58th wedding anniversary last April 14.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Hebebrand, Mrs. John Earl Hart, and Mrs. Mahl Moser, all of Warren, O., and Truxel Bryan, of Oil City. Thirty-four grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 2 p.m., at the family home, with Rev. Paul R. Splitstone, of the First Free Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be made in Grove Hill Cemetery.
