Harold "Hal" F. Schulz, 82, of Topeka, passed away Thurs., Nov. 27, 2008, at his home.

He was born Aug. 3, 1926 in Davenport, IA, the son of Arthur R. and Isabel M. (Wulf) Schulz.

Hal was a U.S. Navy Veteran serving in WWII. He also fought with the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict, and following a year in Thailand, he retired from the Air Force in 1968.

On July 10, 1967, he married Blanche M. Heryford in Topeka.

He was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service from 1968 until his retirement in 1988. He was a previous member of the Masonic Lodge in Topeka and an avid bowler.

Survivors include his sister, Marion Delapp of Davenport, IA; two daughters, Linda Jackson and her husband, Larry of Topeka, and Dana Morris of Topeka; two granddaughters, Katlyn and Jamie Harrison.

He was preceded in death by his wife and two brothers.

Funeral services for Hal will be at ?? on Tues., Dec. 2 at Penwell-Gabel Mid- Town Chapel. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Mon., Dec. 1 at the funeral home.
