Barbara Joyce "Tinker" Cook, 59, of Springfield, died at 1:58 a.m. on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by her family.
Barbara was born on December 22, 1961 in Springfield, the daughter of Barbara Ann Morris Clifford and stepfather Herbert C. Roth. She married John "Johnny" Earl Cook on July 28, 1995 in Springfield.
Barbara was a lifelong member of the Springfield community. She loved playing with her grandchildren, enjoyed playing pool and darts, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Lauretta M. Hackwith.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Johnny Cook; daughters, Shannon Coit of Springfield and Sherri Bordner of Taloga, OK; son, Daniel A. Tannehill of Springfield; stepdaughters, Tabatha Fickas, Melinda Cook and Heather Ballard, all of Springfield; several grandchildren; and sisters, Cindy Roth, Anita Wenke and Laura Rowden.
The family will host a Celebration of Life at a later date.
Cremation was provided by Lincoln Land Cremation Society.
