He was preceded in death by his parents Abraham Lincoln Barnett and Louisa Elizabeth Roberts Barnett, sisters Lillian Owenby and Sarah Niece, brothers Otis Barnett and Russell Barnett, half-brother Lee Stewart and half-sister Carrie Stewart Stephenson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Ruby Archer Barnett, son James and Marie Barnett, daughter Elizabeth and Roger Wilder, grandchildren Sidney Barnett, Christopher and Elizabeth Nash, and Avaya Givens, great-grandson Gabriel Nash, brother Rev. Robert Barnett and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.
