OBITUARY Iron River Reporter March 5 1926 "Mrs. Russell Bath Dies In Chicago"
Mrs. Russell Bath, of Iron Mountain, daughter of Capt. and Mrs. W.E. Truran, Iron River, died at the Presbyterian hospital, Chicago, at six o'clock last night, according to a message received this morning. The body will be returned here tonight.
Capt. Truran and Russell Bath, who left yesterday morning on summons of her critical condition, failed to reach her beside before death.
Mrs. Bath had been critically ill since January when she gave birth to a son, She was brought to the home of her parents here and a week ago was taken to the Presbyterian hospital accompanied by her husband and Mr. and Mrs. Truran. Mr. Truran and Mr. Bath, who returned Tuesday, reported her condition critical.
Mrs. Bath was born in Iron Mountain Feb. 14, 1901 and came to Iron River with her parents 21 years ago. In 1920 she finished the commercial course in the Iron River high school, and in July, 1923 was married to Russell Bath, now cashier of the United States National Bank at Iron Mountain.

FUNERAL NOTICE Iron River Reporter March 9 1926 "Impressive Services For Mrs. Russell Bath"
Impressive rites were conducted yesterday for Mrs. Russell Bath at the home of Capt. and Mrs. W.E. Truran, James location, at which the Rev. Milo Filipi, pastor of the First Presbyterian church, officiated.
Amid a profusion of flowers, a group of friends filled the residence in last tribute to a beloved friend.
The procession wended its way over difficult roads to Resthaven cemetery where the body was placed in the vault.
Mrs. Bath died Thursday evening at the Presbyterian hospital, Chicago, and was brought to Iron River Saturday morning. Almost her entire life was spent in Iron River.
Out-of-town people at the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. William Bath sr. of Negaunee, Thomas Langdon of Detroit, Mrs. L.E. Langdon of West Allis, Mrs. C. Carter of Crandon, William H. Bath jr. of L'Anse, Mrs. R.J. Rihl and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Polglase of Iron Mountain. Others were detained by the storm.
