Ernest Carl Jensik, the only child of Wesley and Antonia (Kasparek) Jensik, was born April 20, 1897, on the family farm south of Narka and died at the Long Term Unit in Belleville, June 21, 1985 at the age of 88 years, two months, and one day.

He received his education at the Bethlehem Grade School.

He was united in marriage to Stella Marsicek of Narka on December 3, 1919. To this union three children were born.

They made their home at his birthplace where they farmed. They remained there until 1961 when they retired and moved to Narka. He lived in Narka until 1984 when he entered the Long Term Care Unit in Belleville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife in 1973. He is survived by a son, Jim of Belleville; two daughters, Mrs. Hoyt (Joan) Baker of Belleville and Mrs. Fred (Elayne) Fiser of Mahaska; 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services were held at the First Presbyterian Church of Narka, interment was in National Cemetery south of Narka, Kansas
