Varner Wayne Watts, 84, died Wednesday, May 13, 1998 at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital Extended Care Facility. Born February 4, 1914 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Herman and Erye Divine Watts. He was the widower of Mary Will White Watts. He was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church. Survivors include: one son, Varner Wayne Watts Jr., Danville; one daughter, Patricia Watts Robbins, Loudon, TN; two sisters, Mary Frances Watts and Emma Watts, both of Harrodsburg; two brothers, Roger Watts, Atlanta, GA and Cecil Watts, Sebring, FL; two grandchildren and one step great granddaughter. Funeral services were Friday, May 15, at the McClellan Funeral Home with Dr. Robert DeFoor officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
