PHILLIPSBURG — Martin Francis Smith, 81, Phillipsburg, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004.

Mr. Smith was born April 14, 1923, in Rexford. He was a railroad laborer.

Survivors include two brothers, Ronald Leroy of Warsaw, Mo., and Archie of Independence, Mo.; and five sisters, Ethel Bretton, Delpha Jennings and Mabel Pears, all of Phillipsburg, Vera Elmers of Kearney, Neb., and Vanetta Woodard of Mound City.

A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg, with military honors conducted by the U.S. Navy.
