Jefferson Irby Lewis -ATLANTA - Jefferson Irby Lewis, 1971-2003, a friend to all, a stranger to no one. Jeff's life was cut short in his prime. At age 31, his career as a top 25 Agent out of over 2000 agents for Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and #1 Agent to Coldwell Banker The Condo Store was blossoming. He was the quintessential real estate professional and best friend to so many in the industry. His sweetness, caring, humor and warmth spread from him like sunshine to all he encountered. Jeff's greatest pride was in his newly acquired newspaper, The Macon County "The Citizen and Georgian". The newspaper will go on in his honor run by family and friends. His zest for learning, for new experiences, for expanding his world was boundless. Jeff's passions were traveling, art collecting, cooking and his two dachshunds, Frank and Sydney. The consolation, if there is any to his many friends and family, is that he left life at his peak. He had attained the confidence and satisfaction of a life fully lived. He was a dedicated professional, a loyal friend, a loving partner and a wonderful son. -Jeff is survived by his partner, David Tufts and family; father, John Lewis, Sr.; mother, Linda Lewis; step-mother: Janet Lewis; sister: Kathy Escue; brother, John Lewis, Jr.; grandmothers: Ernestine Forehand and Georgia Josey; nieces: Courtney Watkins and Madisyn Escue; nephew, Tyler Escue. -The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00P.M. Wednesday evening at Spring Hill. -Funeral services will be 2P.M., Thursday, March 13 at Peachtree Road United Methodist Church, Dr. Betsy Lunz and Rev. Greg Tankersley officiating.
