She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Mark V. Cobb of Acworth, Ga.; son, Steven M. Cobb and wife, Sandra, of Bradenton, Fla.; daughter, Lisa K. Mills and husband, Bob Mills, of Kennesaw, Ga.; brothers, William E. Peacock Jr. of McDonough, Ga., and Charles Lynn Peacock of Gainesville.
Mary Jane has four grandchildren, Justin Mills, Mary Mills, Kelsey Cobb, and Lindsay Cobb.
Mary Jane graduated from the Grady School of Nursing in Atlanta in 1957. She practiced Nursing at Grady Hospital, Kennestone Hospital, and ultimately retired as Director of Nurses at Woodstock Hospital.
After retirement, Mary Jane and Mark were able to pursue their love of travel. She and Mark set out on a journey to see all 50 states. They completed this quest in 2006 and also visited Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.
Mary Jane was loved by all and will be truly missed by the people whose lives she touched. We take comfort in knowing she is in a better place.
A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, from the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home in Kennesaw, Ga. The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
