Connie Y. Worsham David R. Murphey Exchange Vows

Miss Connie Yvonne Worsham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Worsham of Snellville, Ga., and David Ray Murphey, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. Ray Murphey of Newton, exchanged wedding vows on March 21 at 8 p.m. in a ceremony in the bride's home. The Rev. David Hancock officiated.

A mantel arrangement of yellow and white daisies was banked in ferns, and daisy arrangements were used throughout the home.

The Bride

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a white Empire knit dress, trimmed in beige lace around the long sleeves and V-neck, that was designed and made by her mother. She carried a nosegay of yellow and white daisies.

Miss Sheila Landress served as the bride's honor attendant. Keith Worsham, brother of the bride, was best man.

Reception

Guests were entertained at a reception, the tea table being covered in a yellow and white cloth trimmed with lace. The two-tiered white cake with yellow roses was topped with a wedding bell arch over bridal figurines, and was surrounded with ivy and yellow daisies.

The Misses Dana Worsham, sister of the bride, and Ann McDougal assisted in serving.

Guests included Mrs. Elton Cook of Decatur, Ga., the bridegroom's aunt, Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Grohoski of College Park, Ga., his uncle and aunt. The bridegroom's parents were unable to attend, due to illness.

After a wedding trip to Swanne, Ga., Mr. and Mrs. Murphey are residing in Lawrenceville, Ga.

The Couple

The bride is a graduate of South Gwinnett High School, Snellville, Ga., and is employed in Atlanta. Her grandparents are Mrs. Runell Brown and the late Royston Brown, Mrs. Ruth Newton and J. B. Worsham, all of Mobile, Ala.

The bridegroom attended Newton High School and served in the United States Army, including a tour of duty in Viet Nam. He is employed in Atlanta. His grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. T. V. Murphey and the late Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Cook, all of Newton.

DENISE CAROL MURPHEY

Mr. and Mrs. David Murphey of Newton proudly announce the birth of their daughter, Denise Carol on June 1 at University Hospital, Jackson. She weighed seven pounds, 14 ounces. The mother will be remembered as Stephanie Brooks of Atlanta, Ga.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Murphey of Newton are the proud grandparents. Rev. and Mrs. Henry Daniel of Atlanta, Ga. are the great-grandparents.

Denise is welcomed home by her sister, Delores, 2 1/2.
