Bob was warehouseman at the Uniontown Co-op for 39 years before retiring in 1988. He also served as custodian of the Uniontown Community Building and was active in many civic organizations.

He was born Dec. 14, 1923, at Uniontown to George and Helen Schoffen Jacobs. He graduated from Uniontown High School in 1942 and then served with the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1945.

After his discharge from the service, he worked in construction and farming in the Pullman-Moscow area.

He and Maxine R. Dahmen were married July 17, 1948, at Uniontown.

He was a communicant of St. Boniface Catholic Church at Uniontown and a charter member of Uniontown Post No. 214 of the American Legion. He was a volunteer firefighter and a member of the Community Club. He played on the Uniontown baseball team and was a Little League coach.

Bob also served for many years on the Uniontown City Council. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
