Billy F. Lierly, 84, of Lenexa, KS, died Sunday, November 11, 2007 at Olathe Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 14, at the Porter Funeral Home 8535 Monrovia, Lenexa, KS. Burial in Lenexa City Cemetery. Friends may call 1-2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home. Billy was born August 31, 1923, near Gilman City, MO. He retired in 1980 after 27years at GM/Delco Battery, followed by seasonal work for the IRS for 14 years. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the US Army with the 86th Blackhawk Division. Billy was a lifemember of the VFW and the American Legion. He was preceded in death by a brother John Lierly. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Patty (Lent) Lierly, 2 children Elaine Lierly Jones and her husband Pat Jones, Gardner, KS, Glen Lierly, Dallas, TX, sister Ruth Ward, St. Charles, MO.
