Margaret K. Freeman, 79, of Port Richey, Florida, formerly of Kincaid, died at 8:13 p.m. Friday, December 18, 1992, at St. Vincent Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Freeman was born May 21, 1913 in Tower Hill, the daughter of Michael and Ada Alice (Manuel) Burke. She married Clifford F. “Slim” Freeman on May 25, 1940 in Palmyra, Missouri. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1983. Mrs. Freeman was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church in New Port Richey, Florida, and the Dominican Lady Prayer Group.

Surviving are two step-daughters, Mrs. Norma Roembke of Sarasota, Florida and Mrs. Phyllis Baker of Cape Cod, Massachusetts; three brothers, Charles Burke of Taylorville, Joseph William (wife, Lois) Burke of Farmersville and Robert (wife, Roberta) Burke of Joliet; one sister, Ms Betty Borgognoni of Kincaid; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, John Burke, Patrick Burke, Bernard Burke and James Burke; one sister, Patricia Grace; and two half-brothers, James Burke and Michael Burke Sr.

Funeral mass was held at 10 a.m. Monday, December 21, 1992, at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Kincaid. Father Frank Campbell officiated, with burial following at Calvary Cemetery in Pawnee. Masterson Funeral Home, in Kincaid, was in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Phillip Burke, Patrick Lane, Charles A. Burke, Henry Burke, William Borgognoni, Lee Waite and Michael Grace.
