Ammon E. Werley, 81, of 1314 Linden St., died this morning at 7 :35 o'clock in St. Joseph's Hospital, where he was a patient since May 20.
Born in Reading, a son of the late Cyrus and Emma (Hatt) Werley, he was employed by the Reading Co. for 48 years, retiring 15 years ago.
Mr. Werley was a member of St, John's United Church of Christ.
Surviving are two sons, Willard and Robert, both of Mohnton; a daughter, Jene [Gene], wife of Robert Matz, Shillington; 13 grandchildren, a brother, George, Shillington, and one sister, Mrs. Maude Spangler, Reading.
Services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Iredale Funeral Home, Shillington, the Rev. Harry G. Royer officiating. Burial will be made in Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Spring Township.
