She played in the prestigious United States National Championships four times, where she was seeded seventh in singles in 1939. Her best result there was a 1939 semifinal finish with playing partner Helen Jacobs in women's doubles. She and Dorothy Bundy represented the U. S. at the 1938 Australian National Championships in Adelaide, where she was a quarterfinalist in singles, the runner-up with Bundy in women's doubles, and a semifinalist with Gene Mako in mixed doubles. She continued playing, and winning, tournaments well into her 30s.
