Entered service April 2, 1918. To Camp Sherman. Transferred to Camp Merritt with the 83rd Div., May 25, 1918. To Hoboken June 6, 1918. Embarked ship Aquatania. Landed in Liverpool June 15, thence to Southampton, Eng. (In England 4 days.) Crossed channel to La Havre, France, June 21. (In box car a days' journey to Foulain.) Hiked to Mandrias (here 6 days.) Chaumont one day July 26, Regt. chosen to go to Italy and Austrian frontier. Box car ride of five days to Noraine, Italy; thence to Torino and Milan. On Aug 9, reached Villa Framen, Italy, and on to other towns. Oct 3rd left for Austrian front. Oct. 28, started for the front -- Piave River. Crossed river under shell fire at night. In battle Tagliomento River. After Armistice back to Treviso. Returned on S. S. Duca De Austo to NY Harbor. Arrived April 19, 1919. Debarked at Hoboken. Train to Camp Merritt. Discharged here.
