William Grover Dearing, 65, died Wednesday, September 3, 1997 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born April 22, 1932 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Olia and Ethel Divine Dearing. He had worked in auto body repair work for 37 years. He was the owner and manager of Dearing Body Shop in Harrodsburg and had been an employee of Katz Motor Company in DeKalb, IL. He had served in the U. S. Marines. Survivors include: his wife, Jeanette Ingram Dearing; three daughters, Janice Lynn Dearing, Harrodsburg, Mary Lee Bush of Bowling Green and Wanda Dearing Whitehouse of Virginia Beach, VA; two sons, Tony Darrell Dearing and William Grover Dearing, Jr. both of Harrodsburg; nine grandchildren; five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his half brother, Garland Freeman, one son, Gary Dearing, and one great grandson, Chase Cottrell. Funeral services were held Saturday, September 6, at 2:30 p.m. at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. James Harley and Bro. Mark Baldauff officiating. Burila was burial in Spring Hill Cemetery.
