Carolyn Sue Christenberry Gipson, 69, of Smithville, Arkansas passed away Sunday, May 16, 2021.

She was born on December 29, 1951 in Batesville, Arkansas to Enos Christenberry and Lorene (King) Christenberry.
Carolyn was a very loving and caring person who was patient, kind, and gentle. She enjoyed traveling and going to the ocean. Carolyn worked at White River Medical Center as an RN before becoming disabled.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Henry Wess Gipson and her dog Lucy, both of the home, and two cousins, Dorothy Cooper, and Geneva McDaniel.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers are Verton Miller, Kenny Freeman, Danny Merick, Phil Combs, Tommy Pagan, and Eric Cooper.

Visitation will be from 10:00am until 11:00am with funeral services starting at 11:00am Thursday, May 20, 2021 at Pleasant Ridge Community Church near Poughkeepsie with Jim Pagan and Larry Sellers officiating. Burial will follow at Parsley Cemetery in Smithville under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Independence County 5 Environmental Drive, Batesville, AR 72501.
