Mrs. Acosta was born March 10, 1921, in Odell, Texas. She married Nicholas Acosta in October 21, 1936. She lived most of her life in Abilene, moving here in 1955. She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.
Survivors include her 14 children, Pete V. Acosta and wife, Mary, Margarito Acosta and wife, Dolores, Mary A. Stokes and husband, Pat, Nick Acosta Jr. and wife, Mayara, of Brenham, Texas, Linda Garza of Austin, Texas, Frances Torres and husband, Ramiro, of Brenham, Texas, Carmen Flores and husband, Robert, Jesse Acosta and wife, Rosie, Irene Murillo and husband, Benny of Brenham, Texas, Anita Rois and companion, Raul Rodriguez of Fort Worth, Texas, Joe Acosta and wife, Olga, Margarita Canales and her companion, Guillermo Lopez of Hereford, Texas, Margaret Gomez and husband, Santos, and Christopher Acosta; 49 grandchildren; 91 great-grandchildren; 26 great-great grandchildren; and her special friend, Minnie Stokes.
Mrs. Acosta was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Acosta, a daughter Margarita Acosta and two grandsons.
Pallbearers will be Edward Martinez, Tony Acosta, Pat Stokes III, Frankie Martinez, Rocky Flores, Jesse Acosta Jr., Guadalupe Moreno and Gilbert Acosta.
