Robert's aircraft was shot down by a German night fighter ME 720 and crashed near Hitzkirch-Hamilkon in Switzerland.
He is remembered on a family marker here at Park Lawn Cemetery but he is buried at Vevey Saint Martin's Cemetery in Switzerland. Family links are attached to the burial memorial.
