Elizabeth was a faithful woman and attended St. Clement Catholic Parish for many years. She enjoyed gardening and was a great cook. There was nothing that Elizabeth liked more than being a mother and grandmother. She was devoted to her family and attended her grandkids' sporting events and concerts; she filled them with food and love. She will be dearly missed by all of them and they are comforted that she died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, May 14, 2021. She was 92.
Elizabeth is survived by her loving sons; Terry (Claire), Chris, Duane (Candy) and Mark (Nancy); her grandchildren, Vince, Cory, Brad, Vicky, Matthew, Brett and Rachel; and 4 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her father, Frank Matus, her brother Albert Matus, her husband Albert, and her dear son Kevin.
A funeral service will be held at Busch Funeral Home, 32000 Detroit Rd., Avon, on Thursday, May 20, 10am. Deacon Robert Walling will officiate. Burial to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery where Elizabeth will be laid to rest next to her husband Albert. Friends may call for a public visitation with social distancing and masks, from 5-8 pm, Wednesday, at the funeral home.
