OBITUARY
Sanders William Bryan, son of Alphonso and Anne Bryan was born in Pike county, Mo., Sept. 2nd, 1840 moved to Indianapolis, Ind.. with his parents at the age of six years came to Clay county, Ill., at the age of 21 years was united in marriage to Mary E. Hacket Dec. 21st, 1865.

To this union was born six children, the oldest died in infancy, Lycurgus Frank Bryan of St. Louis. Mo., Charles W., died at the age of 4 years, William Ora Bryan died June 16, 1917, Ina M. Bennett, of Xenia. III., Walter E. died Feb. 1st, 1913.

His companion departed this life Nov. 24, 1913.

He was a resident of Oskaloosa township over 40 years. He was justice of the peace 30 years resigning the office when he moved out of the township, and held various other offices of the township. He was a charter member of Xenia Lodge NO. 485 A. F. & A. M. Xenia to which he was a faithful member.

He has one sister, Emma Hill, living In Hutchison, Kansas, one daughter-in-law living in Lead. S. Dakota, has ten grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends to mourn his loss He was a good man and one that was well thought of.

He was making his home with his daughter, Mrs. T. E. Bennett. He departed this life Jan. 22nd. 1922, age 81 yrs, 4 mo., 20 days.

Funeral was conducted at the M. E. church at Oskaloosa, Ill., by Rev. J. C. Foutz, M. E, pastor at Xenia.
Interment In Oskaloosa cemetery.
